The small town of Nin is one of the oldest on the eastern Adriatic coast. Founded in the 9th century B.C., Nin was an important maritime and commercial center, and ancient Roman remains of the largest temple in this area date from the 1st century.

The importance of the city continued in the centuries to come, as evidenced today by the rich museum collections and the historically artistic monuments.

Today, Nin is a charming little town worth visiting. Near the old town, there is a famous sand beach as well as medicinal mud and a rich flora and fauna.
