The hotel was built in 1970 on a natural peninsula, in a pine forest, after which it got its name – Pinija. Due to the quality of the hotel facilities and the beach, it soon became recognized among domestic and foreign guests. It is one of the most popular bathing spots in the region for the local population in the summer months.
Ownership of the company Intermod d.o.o. provides the hotel with continuous modernization with the aim of improving the offer and services, while a long-standing family tradition guarantees a warm and personal approach to every guest.
Since 2001, the hotel has been completely modernized and a sports and recreation area with an indoor swimming pool and fitness center was built.
In 2008, the hotel was upgraded to a 4* category and a new outdoor pool was built. In 2015, a new Wellness & Spa center was built.
In 2019, the hotel’s restaurant with a terrace was renovated and a sun deck was built by the pool.
The year 2023 was marked by a new investment cycle in which the lobby, reception, aperitif bar with terrace and animation room were renovated.
In 2024, a significant investment began that will mark the further growth and development of the hotel – the construction of the Zadar Congress & Event Center with two multifunctional halls.
